Adel Abubakar
Director of EGA America Inc.
Adel Abubakar has been a Director of EGA America Inc. since 2021. Mr. Abubakar is also Chief Marketing Officer of Emirates Global Aluminium.
From 2012 to 2021, Mr. Abubakar served as Managing Director and CEO of EGA America Inc.
Mr. Abubakar joined Dubai Aluminium in 2006 as Manager of Business Development for new aluminium smelter projects, after more than a decade working in finance. In 2009, he was promoted to Senior Manager, Marketing & Sales, overseeing marketing and sales across Europe and the Americas.
Mr. Abubakar played an instrumental role in the merger of DUBAL and Emirates Aluminium in 2014 to form Emirates Global Aluminium.
Mr. Abubakar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the American University in Dubai (AUD).
